Position Reports To:
Responsible for the overall management of all accounting functions of LNW&AI and all related entities to fulfill all accounting requirements for management reports. • Ability to work as a team member. • Accounting • Ability to do multi-tasking. • Analytical • Computer • Filing/organizational • GAAP knowledge • Leadership • Oral and written communication. • Project management • Tax knowledge ESSENTIAL FUNCTION A. Direct the activities of the LNW&AI Corporate Accountants, LNW&AI A/P Associate, Assistant Controller and the Corporate Accountant for Arbor Management, LLC. This supervisor is responsible for the internal financial reporting for LNW&AI and all related entities. B. Further the mission of LNW&AI and all related entities. C. Communicate effectively with internal staff and properties for organizational goals and objectives. These goals and objectives determine departmental responsibilities. D. Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures and internal controls. E. Obtain a working knowledge of all Partnership and Operating Agreements. F. Coordinate preparation of annual and mid-year reports for LNW&AI and all related entities. G. Develop and maintain accounting systems that produce an accurate picture of the financial condition of LNW&AI and all related entities. H. Conduct performance evaluations of the LNW&AI Corporate Accountants, LNW&AI A/P Associate, Assistant Controller and the Corporate Accountant for Arbor Management, LLC to prosper under a team-oriented environment. I. Work on special projects, as assigned. J. Strive to create a comprehensive, efficient accounting department that will be a positive reinforcement to the partners, upper management, and the property managers and one that will provide timely, accurate and complete information to senior management and the auditors.
QUALIFICATIONS A. 5 – 7 years’ experience as a Controller, or other capable position, as well as managing junior accounting staff. Familiarity with Property Management systems preferred. B. Proven ability to manage and supervise staff. C. Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, which will enable clear concise communication with staff and other outside parties. D. Familiarity with GAAP and tax rules as they apply to LNW&AI and all related entities. E. Ability to manage with discretion. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. CPA preferred.
