Property Accountant - Corporate Office

Position Reports To: 
Assistant Controller

Responsibilities: 
Perform general accounting duties including: * Responsible for the bookkeeping of assigned residential rental properties managed by Arbor Management, LLC. * Maintains the General Ledgers, including reconciliation of bank statements. * Interact with Property Managers and other Property Accountants to resolve accounting related issues. * Will conduct analysis of the GL to provide financial statements and financial reporting to Management, as well as outside agencies and business associates. * Prepare and input journal entries including updating standard monthly entries. * Complete and/or prepare any ad hoc internal and external reporting requirements.
Qualifications: 
The successful, career-focused candidate will have a stable work history, communication skills, and strong organizational and math skills, superior computer skills that include proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Must have proven independent problem-solving abilities and an organized approach to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Must work independently but take direction when given. Must be flexible to work overtime whenever needed. The ideal candidate will have: * An Accounting degree * 3 years general accounting experience * Real Estate/Property Management background a plus * Experience with Yardi or comparable software a plus
