Responsibilities:

The Property Management Software Coordinator is responsible for communication and help desk functions for the accounting department and the property management company. Additional tasks will include running reports and answering questions for a portfolio of apartment properties across several states. Ongoing training specific to the Yardi software system will be provided to the right candidate. • Coordinate with management and accounting on Yardi software system to create effective reporting for each group of internal stakeholders. • Learn to configure Yardi software by making adjustments to existing reports and dashboards and also creating new reports as needed. • Prioritize month-end reporting for the accounting department necessary to close books and resolve variances. • Manage periodic software updates and ensure that each property has implemented all software updates and security patches. • Learn important affordable housing industry processes, such as collecting rent from HUD software systems. This includes learning the Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) and Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System (TRACS) systems. • Use skills developed on the job to train property managers in Yardi software best practices. • Act as the “internal” Help Desk for Yardi System solving problems for our internal staff. • Communicate professionally with external Yardi software representatives/account managers to resolve and understand bigger picture software implementation strategy for the company. • Assist the Information Technology department when onboarding new property management staff. Accounting education is preferred but not required. • Information Technology education (Associates or higher) or equivalent job experience is strongly preferred.
